Graduting today for professional evening program at ncsu, took 4 years while worming full time. Was closer to $45,000 not as cheao but I got a lot of networking and coue certifications out of it. Lots of different options out there! Already saw a decent salaray boost for me from it.

The video title is misleading... I was expecting tips on how to get the course in one month. Instead i got a 25 mins description that i can have anywhere else.

I chose the wrong the degree and came out unqualified to compete with people with business degrees and I’m now stuck with 120k in debt and have no idea how to even get started I’m 25 and seem to have no path in life

Attending Bellevue University while finishing my bachelors in Health Management Services as my school is partnered with Bellevue and having a 4+1 along with 33% tuition reduction for attending. This MBA is 39 credited hours with 9 cohort. Assuming this isn’t the most optimal, however I plan on going past to the Ph.D. Did some time in the military, so I hope it all evens out

Wow, was looking at a night class MBA and one class for one quarter was $8k. $22k total is tough to beat.

Had a professor that told the class that GPA doesn’t really much matter to recruiters. Unless it’s on the high end spectrum. For instance a gpa of 3.90/4.00 something that’s really high. Who knows who’s right though. The guy drove a Bentley and was on the verge of retirement. . Pretty much set for life already.

Notjing is guaranteed, rather getting those certificates than hving a proper degree.

I feel that people should get Google certificates in conjunction to a similar certification for example Google IT Support with CompTIA A+, Google Cybersecurity with CompTIA Sec+ or ISC2 SSCP, Google Data Analytics with CompTIA Data+ or Tableau Data Analyst cert

I have a certificate in Google IT through coursera. It’s basically a scam. Subscription based model that doesn’t really teach you much. You can bs the course and pass. Also nobody cares about these certifications

I did not have a good experience with Coursera's VMs (vms often bugged out and I'd have to restart the lab; sometimes it did not save progress.). However i did pick up some good stuff from this certificate program from what i was able to complete. I'm mostly self taught in tech otherwise with a year of help desk + sales experience, and tried taking it to improve my chances for remote employment. Current considerations now are going straight for CompTIA, Security+, etc.

Seems really good but they don't offer financial aids of any type. It says "We do not currently have any discounts. We have priced our courses low to make them affordable to most people. To help people who cannot afford the one-time payment of $499 (or $799 for software development), we also have a payment plan for each course which is 4 bi-weekly payments of $150 (or $250 for software development)" Well here in Brazil this bi-weekly $150 is $300 a month, converting this means R$ 1500.00 a month. The minimum wage here is around R$ 1300.00. And I'm not even adding the credit card fees. Someone who can afford such a course may not need it or will prefer to pay for college (which is around the same price). It really disappoints me when companies don't think about people from other countries with other realities. Fortunately, not all of them are like this, but it should be.

I’m over 20 years in my industry, with a lot of training along the way putting me at a very high level in my field so I thought job sites would be great to use. I’ve found that it seems to be harder to actually find a position this way. Does anyone else have this issue? Good video to, thank you.

I was a little surprised by your firm "no" on the value of both - especially given your Gies background and they allow for stacking the certs and MSM on the way to the MBA. If someone is pursuing both by different means, I agree it is definitely not worth it. However, if you are in one, single and stackable program (like Gies), I think it could make sense - especially if you need to batch your education for employer reimbursement reasons
